On this episode of Hard Beautiful Journey, I welcome with wide open arms Leah Campbell. Leah is the artist behind “Won’t Let You Fall”, a song you may have heard on my podcast before. Leah lets us in on the story that led to the inspiration for Won’t Let You Fall.
The tale began in South Korea while on an 18-month mission through her church. On this mission, she met a girl named Jennifer. Jennifer had been fighting demons for some time, and one fateful day, Leah received a text message that contained Jennifer’s goodbye letter. Thirty minutes later, she got a calling saying they had found Jennifer’s body.
“You look at missionaries and you think they have it all together, they are sharing a message of light ….but I felt so lost”
Turning her grief into glory, Leah wrote the song that practically wrote itself. The response she received was massive and full of appreciation. Leah’s mission now is to continue touching people’s hearts through her music and lyrics.
