Meeting Jenny last year at RISE was one of the highlights of my trip! She is funny, charming, and just a light of life all around. I am ecstatic for you to meet her on this episode of Hard Beautiful Journey! Jenny is a comedian, actor, public speaker, and former advocate for youth at risk for In The Lead.
Jenny was actually one of the speakers at Rise; she performed two comedy sets that almost made me pee my pants! But it was the vulnerability she showcased that really caught my attention. During this interview, I learn about Jenny’s natural gift for entertaining, not to mention her impressive ability to put together full sets just days or even hours before a show.
Her advocacy work is even more admirable. During her 10-year span at In The Lead, Jenny was a program director. Their mission was to support at-risk youth by providing them with education, medical, and even housing while also pairing them up with a corporate mentor. Admittedly, leaving In The Lead was one of the hardest decisions she’s ever had to make, but she could no longer ignore the voice in her said that kept saying, get out there and do it.
